1. How can I search for a folder, file, or contents of a file?
Direcscape does not contain a search facility, but it is recommended that you use the built-in search function of the Windows Operating System.
2. I have made changes to my files using Direcscape or Windows Explorer and these changes are not reflected in Direcscape
Not all changes made in Direcscape and especially in Windows Explorer will cause Direcscape to be updated. However, Direcscape can be refresh at anytime by hitting the F5 key or selecting Refresh from the Diagram Menu.
3. What is the file Node.XML that I see is some folders?
This is the file that Direcscape uses to store information about a node. Direcscape only creates this file when it needs to store information about a node, therefore some folders will not contain this file. If another program creates a file with the same name (Node.XML), Direcscape will overwrite this file.
4. Direcscape isn't very helpful when browsing my current folders.
In order to use Direcscape effectively, one should use hierarchical names when naming folders. Also, each folder should not contain more than five folders. For an example of how to organize the folders, see the Sample folder that is distributed with this program.
